I would guess that if this passes, many gun owners, no matter their politics, will leave the state by then, which plays into the agenda; fewer people who oppose you, more who support you.
People will think "OK maybe a 10 rd mag isn't so bad", and they get used to it..sucks some of the will out of the fight. Other problems replace gun issues, so laws remain in place for another decade
or so, or till the next shooting. Then another wave of legislation will magically and quickly appear "We have to do more to protect the children!"

To question your government is not unpatriotic — to not question your government is unpatriotic.

Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.

    But, it's for the children!

They will do what NY did. Lower the number, only grandfathter ones at the old level, and outright ban all above the old level...
So your mags over 15 would be banned and you could only load your 15 rounders to the new limit...

I hope everyone stays until 2014. I believe we can take a lot of them out of office. However I will cruise if it looks bleak. My kids won't be raised in a cesspool.

You do realize that that won't change the laws? This isn't a political thing. I don't care about dems v repubs I care about freedom. When these bills pass that will be a BIG chunk of our freedom and those are 'incremental steps' towards even worse ones to happen before 2014. Sure, you can get these idiots out of power but the BS laws are there and have been and I'm not living under them.

Agreed. I believe the Republic ended several years ago. There are now more takers than makers. There will never be anything resembling a valid vote ever again. It is over. At some point, it will be time to rebuild. I just don't know when, where, or how it will begin - or end. Exciting Times!

I do realize that things are very dreadful right now. I am 5th generation Coloradoan and I am not going to leave until its hopeless. I have seen legislation changed many times over the years and the shit were seeing now could be reversed with a change of legislators. I work in the one of the most democratic dominated work places (education)and I can tell you that these measures and others have the many of males upset who typically pull the lever for democrats. Personally I am very conservative but my work role allows me to interact with hundreds of people everyday. Many of the democrat females are upset about how these so called representatives have described them and to told them they cant decide how to defend themselves. What I am saying is these clowns also did some damage to their base and they will be very vunerable because of the things they are doing. So I am not giving up just yet. I will write letters this weekend and attend a meet and greet with Senator Newwell this morning . I am hopeful that we have a weekend to work.

Please ask them to respectfully contact their Dem Senators and clue them in on the fact that these actions are in danger of alienating the moderate and mildly conservative registered Dems. The Dems won last election due to their energized base and
picking up independents. Lots of independents are gun owners, and many Dems as well, moreso these days with more people than ever being first time gun owners. Would be very shortsighted to lose the base due to this.

Right on I could not have said it better with your insight. The leftists are over estimating their base. It won't be there in 2014 and beyond.

I hope your meeting with Newell goes well; it looks like Giron is voting against her constituents, which is political suicide in Pueblo.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Sadly went to the meeting and Newell was a no show.....it was not a loss since a nice diverse group of people were there. I will write Newell and others because I am not giving up. Yes it seems like were banging our heads, but we have some more time.

I am still hopefull for three defectors on the magazine limit because its such a damm mess and just as bad or worse than the liability act. But I would bet they will all(Senators) go for the CCW in person training, Background Check Fees, Domestic Violence , and unniversal back ground checks ( say good by to ARMSLIST, Colorado Gun List for private sales). I remember joining this site as a trading post troll in 2008, I really have enjoyed meeting people for trades on here for the last 5 years.
