X2. I blinked and all of a sudden my daughter is about to turn 13 and my son is 10.

    Awesome pics!

My son will turn 3 in May. It blows my mind seeing how he's developing every day.

He's still a little young at the moment. Attention span of a fruit fly, limited dexterity, doesn't follow directions, and doesn't like loud noises. I'm figuring somewhere between 5 and 8 is probably a good time for him to start. For now, he enjoys helping me 'load' magazines, by which I mean he sticks the bullets in his cars and Thomas trains when I am not looking.

Last set of pics from yesterday:

All sorts of fun opening presents. He got a fire truck, a bunch of 'Caillou' books, and a bowling set that he insists is a ball and several bats.

Dinner was pizza because I was tired of cooking. He was having a lot of fun with his sister.

Operation Cupcake went off pretty well. I pulled a recipe off the internet that tasted good, and I nailed the altitude corrections on the first attempt. Cupcakes were all iced with chocolate ganache. I whipped the hell out of half the batch to form a more traditional frosting.

He was sugar-high like crazy through bath time, but crashed right as I was ready to go to bed. All-in-all, a near perfect day.

They all have different interests at different ages

I think mines wanted to shoot because he always saw Mommy and Daddy shooting

Down the block and didn't drop in? Not even a cup cake in the mailbox
Ours turns 30 this year! We give her shit saying, "If your mom became pregnant earlier, You'd be 40!"
