    Melt em off by heating a hack saw blade with a propane torch. Touch coupling with hot blade. Replace hoses with clamps. Read this in a car forum...

    Once you get the fitting (hose) off, use a small pair of dykes to cut the white tab piece off the component being careful not to damage the aluminum "ring" that it locks up against. You didn't mention if the core is bad, or the hose. If you're replacing the core, you don't have to be careful with that side of it.....if you're doing the hose(s) you should.
