I dislike the big huge deal it turned into.

Just like I hate how ESPN has skipped over everything hockey for the last few years. And how Tebow still makes the front page of ESPN.

Do you know how far I had to dig to find anything about Roy Oswalt's game last night? Pretty friggin far...

Roy Oswalt came back to the bigs and struck out 11, yes ELEVEN, Nationals Players in 5 innings...

Zimmerman, who is getting all the attention, struck out 9... IN EIGHT INNINGS!!!!!

    I hate the bias.
I can agree with that although I think the Tebow coverage was WAY more annoying than the Lebron coverage or lack of NHL coverage. At least Lebron has accomplished something. Hell, Tebow barely plays in his own sport. Oh, and baseball sucks so who cares? lulz

Soccer is up there too... But even soccer allows more body contact than NBA... Ever seen a properly executed slide tackle in soccer?

No but I seen guys who aren't even touched go flying and then allow themselves to be carried out on stretchers.

They're just taking a pro-active stance on it. Soccer has made it part of the game and glorified it.

Two league MVPs in a row
Three NBA Finals in a row
    Two Championships in a row
Two Finals MVPs in a row
And throw an Olympic gold medal in the middle of all of that

    Want more?
Four straight game 7's with 30+ points
    Highest NBA finals point average
    Two finals triple doubles
More clutch shots (tie or go ahead) and higher percentage than anyone else in the league since he came into the NBA
27 straight wins (Longest is 32 during a season when the ABA had the good players)
Only the 2nd time in league history someone averaged 27pts, 12rebs & 7 assists in the finals... the other player? Lebron James last year.

He should be defensive player of the year the last few seasons too. He's the only player that you can put on the other team's best player defensively and have him shut them down regardless of position. Parker tonight went 3-12 for 10 points while he was scoring 37pts and 12 rebounds. His defense is the most underrated part of his game and the list of people who can do what he does defensively while producing on the offensive end at the same time is slim to none.

On top of that the dude never has problems off the court and says all the right things when asked and steered towards saying the wrong things by the media trying to break a story at the expense of athletes.

Oh yeah... and he's 28 years old.

    What's not to like?
Lets face it. Today's players are nothing. Jordan played in era that was more physical. (Kurt Rambis being head hunted by celtics) Lebron is a great player, but lets face it, the competition isn't there anymore. Take Pippen, Bowen, etc in their prime and put them on Lebron, I don't see Lebron as the offensive player he is today.

That has to be the worst argument of all... the competition is worse. BS man. Basketball has become a more popular sport since that era (due in large part to that area) and now better athletes and have been playing since childhood and on top of that all of the world's talent is now in the NBA. The best international player of that era was Kukoc and he was on Jordan's team. Now, you have dozens and dozens of international players starting on NBA teams. The competition is every bit as good if not more difficult than it was then so that's not even an argument. Now, you can say it's less physical now than it was then but I think that's a determent to Lebron seeing as how he's 6' 8" 270lbs & insanely athletic and quick for his size. If anything, he would have been better in that era than he is now.

Some people will ALWAYS find a way to discredit greatness.
