I was going to call him something much worse, but I like this community and don't want to be banned...

The education system is completely broken, but as a society we must continue to educate the future, or we end up much worse than we are now. I don't know the fix for the system (voucher system seems legit), but it needs fixed.

My son is only 3 weeks old, and we are hoping to save enough in 5 years to send him to private school.

yeah i didnt want to say much more than that (i like it around here ) .
again congrats on the son . the twins will be 9 months in 4 days . we are talking about home school or private school . but we live in a small town so the public school is not that bad .

Its still a free country for a little while so you can feel free to call me what you want, and I can have my own opinions. If name calling makes you feel better then go for it. You can keep throwing your money into a completely broken system but I would like not to. As long as you keep funding a system that does not work there will be no reason for them to fix it. It is just like what is happening in the states with tough gun control and companies leaving, you have to hit them where it hurts. This country is run on money and nothing else. You need to refuse to give them money until they have a plan to make the system work, and everyone needs to chip in, not just those who own property.

For your child dont rule out homeschooling. Dont know if your wife stays home or not but most kids who are home schooled for the first few years generally end up way ahead of other kids. Especially in reading and math.

It's not a private school, it's a homeschool set up. What it is, is basically public school, at your home for only your kids. The lessons are all planned, they send you a computer, and all the books that the teachers have. You teach your child at your child's pace. After the first couple years of doing it with our oldest, we sent her to public school so the wife and I could both work. She was well beyond what they were doing. Connections academy has the basic same curriculum as public school, but more advanced. However the way it comes across to the children, they learn it better, and get ahead as we saw. We ended up taking our daughter out of the school system since they taught less, and the wife went back to being her teacher. Best move we made as far as their learning goes. I have two other daughters that are with their mother most of the time that are still in public school.... The difference is ridiculous, absolutely horrible. We won't do anything other than Connections Academy.
