    13 day juice fast check-in:

    Starting Weight: 290.8
    Current Weight: 270.4
    Previous Weight: 272.8
    Lost since yesterday: 2.2
    Total Weight lost: 20.4

I broke the 20lb mark today and I feel great! Half a pound away from not being in the 270's anymore. I can't wait to get up tomorrow morning and see 260's on the scale. Wow. That's just crazy. It hasn't even been 2 weeks yet. Still hard to believe.

its not quite as good as juicing yourself but is an option.
That sounds like pretty solid advice. I mean, you need to drink water anyway so if you don't mind the flavor watered down it will help stretch it out. I'm of the mindset that you don't really want to 'stretch out' your juice when it's all you're taking in but your friend probably knows more than me. Maybe naked juice is stronger tasting than Bolthouse Farms.. I don't really remember now. I do know that what I'm spending on even store-bought juice isn't that much. It may seem that way on paper but most people spend what I spend for a day of store-bought juice on a single meal if you go out at all. I'm pretty sure I'm less than $10 per day and that's usually a meal of going out... two if you eat at Taco Bell of fast food where there's a deal. One of the reasons I can afford to do this one now as compared to more 'healthy eating' diets is because it's cheap. Once I'm done I'm going to have to figure out how to maintain on a budget which is going to be more difficult since good food (read: real) is generally more expensive than that crappy stuff that keeps forever.

I'm starting to hit my stride. I just need to find a couple more juice recipes to keep things interesting. A single serrano didn't do jack for my juice yesterday so I'll bump it up to two.

A little TMI, but... I haven't had a "regular" BM, or a BM at all for that matter, all week. Normal or not?
Nice dude! As to your question, it's been pretty standard for me. First day was blowing out the thundermug like a dozen times. Now it's like once every other day or more and it's not what I would call 'regular' but lately it's starting to trend more towards what I would call regular. It seems that when I juice my own juice I get more solider pewps but that might have something to do with the sodium I keep accidentally taking in when I do that. The more I toy with juicing my own fruits and veggies the more I feel like sticking with Bolthouse Farms juices. It's way easier and I don't have to worry about making a $20 pitcher of horse vomit.

Adding veggies doesn't negate the rest of the crap that you take in. A hard lesson I've had to learn.

Wow, way to go! Keep updating us please! I've started, but haven't gotten fully engaged yet. Lost a couple pounds, enough that I can button my shorts now anyway. Still trying to absorb info, bought a recipe book last night, wife is getting input from several of her friends so that'll help my cause as well. Drinking water and pissing like a horse.

So far I'm finding out that store-bought veggies are marginal at best, Certified Organic are mucho better but mucho more $$$, and then there's the whole Genetically Modified bullshit from Monsanto that's in every corner of every store in the country and poisoning us all. Jeeze.

I figured you weren't serious. Just stating the obvious I suppose. I think you just need to go all-in and the results will come man. The pounds just melt off and it's VERY motivating knowing you're doing it right and the results speak for themselves. This is truly the easiest weight I've ever lost. Ever.

That's the damn truth. I don't do anything other than juice and lose 1.5-2 pounds per day. I'm planning on adding in some mild exercise to begin that habit but you can do this, lose weight and be completely lazy.

I'm so used to working my ASS off just get a fraction of these gains. Eating horrible tasting stuff and lifting houses and racing traffic on the highway only nets a couple lbs here and there. I feel like I'm cheating compared to that. I know that I will have to go back to that again and I look forward to it once I'm to a more manageable weight but for now... I'm just enjoying this. As for exercising, be careful man. I mowed again today and what I used to do like it was nothing now is something I have to plan for and prepare for and take easy. It takes me almost twice as long to mow two lawns as it once did and I'm spent when I'm done. Your body is having to burn fat for energy and this is a slow process as compared to just burning the food you have in your system for instant fuel. This makes WAY more of a difference then I thought it would. Even though I was fat I was strong like bull and could power through most endurance things w/o having to take a break. I've always been a bit of work horse and in a way it helped me to get as fat as I am because I could justify the weight with the strength and endurance. So it's quite a change to still be fat but have neither one of those to justify it. I just want to get healthy and then work in some healthy foods to fuel the machine and get my physical fitness up. I'm thinking Crossfit may be the way to go. I have two buddies that are certified Crossfit trainers that have gyms but I was too fat to do most of the body resistance stuff which is just about everything. I sit and watch the Crossfit competitions on ESPN (like I am now) and this crap is incredibly motivating. Makes me want to rush and do all this stuff right now but I know I can't. Hell, right now I get winded when I fart and change the channel on the remote at the same time. lol

Ordered the juicer yesterday and will give this a whirl when it arrives. I realize I could buy the juice but I'd prefer to make it myself.

I've never met you so I don't know your age, but I've possibly been overweight longer than you've been alive. So yes, I need to do this and I will, but I've learned to take things slow and carefully rather than jumping in immediately. Besides, I know myself and how quickly I can convince myself that something like this isn't for me. Other diets and drugs, quickly tossed aside. I can't stand friggin' diet pills.

I've had the opportunity to have gastric bypass surgery fully paid 100% for many years, and I've known many people that had it successfully, but that's one pool I tiptoed very cautiously around the edge of. Good sense, caution and research told me to stay the hell out of that water. I could have jumped in full-on many times.

Same with other plans that you have to commit to and pay for. A friend of mine has been doing the Slimgenics plan and has lost a ton, but he waves me away from it because it's so expensive.

Got a lot of good info today, the wife got the word about this from some good friends, watched FS&ND with me and said she'll support me without ragging, so I'ma going shopping tonight! Tomorrow morning, it begins in earnest.

I have a co-worker that did a Juice diet and he did well, but I just cannot see just drinking Juice only.
