As stupid as the decision by Walmart to deny sales to CO residents, I will support their right to do it. Last I checked, they are still not owned by the government, and therefore have the opportunity to deny sales of anything to anyone if they so choose. Just like I would support a cake decorator electing to not make a wedding cake for a gay couple if the decorator did not want to do so. There is no constitutional right to walk in to any retailer and buy whatever you want. If it pisses you off, don't shop there anymore.
