blacklabel - that doesn't look too bad, the mud, which is part of the trail here looks questionable to me, wouldn't we need a winch if we got stuck?

I could have picked a little better line and made it through. My buddy with a stock Tacoma damn near made it out. We had caught up with a group that pulled us out. If push came to shove, we could have pulled me out backwards and then backtracked. Pole Hill is an out and back that then connects to a series of trails that circle and connect to each other so you can backup and make it back to the initial road in.

And to clarify, this was part of the trail, the straight section has a solid 3 foot drop off with a bypass around it. Now I did slide off the trail when the Jeep was pulling me out. Had I realized that was going to happen, I would have had my buddy pull me back out and we'd head back the other way.

Is that your Nissan? I looked at a 2010 (if I remember right) Pro4x frontier, really nice truck but just a bit more than I could pay right now.

ETA: I just noticed your last paragraph, nice truck man!

Thanks man. It's a 2008 Nismo. It does pretty well offroad. My buddy, 2012 TRD Offroad, and I made it further through that pit than a Grand Jerokee on 35s. A rear locker makes a world of difference. I need to get a lift on it and better tires.

    Nice!

Yeah rear lockers are the SHIT! My Tacoma will be my third rig with a rear locker, first selectable tho.

Rear factory selectable locker was very high on the priority list while I was shopping, so the Tacoma, Frontier, and Xterra were all on the list.

I really wanted a Tacoma but I could get a lot more truck in a Frontier for less money.

We'll have to get something setup.

I love Tacoma's but they are quite pricey! Looking at various dealerships, regardless of mileage the 01-04 doublecab TRD's are going for 10-12k average, doesn't matter if they have 112k or 250k.

Plus side is, I can likely sell it for what I paid, even after I run it up to 250,000 miles lol.

We will definitely have to set something up. Once I sell my Cherokee I plan to do a couple inches of lift, go up one tire size, and install a winch and that will be it as far as wheeling mods.

That has become my top priority these days is scenery, if there are some light obstacles on the way, added bonus!

I'm sure your Jeep would do great.....
