Default If you like guns, go to the army...

I find it amusing when someone tell me "If you like guns, go to the army and probably die!" I just throw their own back at them "If you like socialism, go to North Korea and probably die!"
    Disclaimer: I can't spell.

Same here did it and done that for 6 years, and that experience is what got me interested in firearms and changed my political leanings. I hate clowns who say that . I really dislike the FUDDs who say we dont need semi auto rifles and high capacity mags. So now every year I hunt with a AR10 to show they are great guns. This year going to hunt with a m1a scout with a burris scout scope. I am excited to try this.

Six years for me, never fired a gun until an M16 in basic training and was raised to be pro union in MI. Now I own multiple firearms and realized how bad unions jacked up my home state. Better person overall for the experience too, especially after seeing what it's like in other countries.

How about - "If you like socialism, go to Scandinavia and win!" just sayin... Now if you said "If you like communism, go to North Korea and probably die!" then I would agree.

    Huh???

    Socialism:
1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
    2
a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional betweencapitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

^^^online dictionary, or try wikipedia at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism

To continue, realize "Scandinava" refers to Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Think "New England"
As for their political affiliation, I believe, they are parliamentary based. As for their economy, I believed they are "mixed" but they aren't socialist. Lots of free trade way up there where its cold!!

The world is not black and white and sure as heck our system is not capitolism. It is more a quasi system where bankers run the show and print money at will and own the gov and manipulate markets. Like heck our system is working and is free. Canada that socialist hell hole is doing better because the regulate the banks.

Ok...way off topic but as someone who works for the "Office of International Programs" at a small technical school here in colorado, i figure I need to address some misconceptions here using something amazing called "google."

Per wikipedia, Canada, "Canada has one of the highest levels of economic freedom in the world. Today Canada closely resembles the U.S. in its market-oriented economic system and pattern of production."

not saying that the good ole USA didn't screw up capitalism, but the last I check, Canada was not a socialist hell hole either.

here you go, I'll make it easy for you:
