I have to say the few times I've been there I always find myself standing at the register waiting to hand somebody money but cant get them to stop either talking to each other or standing around to take it. Just shouldnt be hard to give someone money. I'll pay more somewhere else or order it online, if I'm gonna wait, may as well be on my couch!

I like GMG. Since I closed my shop I've been there several times and made several purchases.

Even during the recent madness, if they had a high-demand item the price was at a "pre-Obama" level.

And there are some great consignment deals to be had, for sure.

I love the consignment section as well. Picked up a like new Glock 23 Gen 3 with 4 mags for $399 just the other day. Many other deals over the years as well. Some of there guys are not on the ball when it comes to helping you but they have some good part time guys that work on the weekends that I like dealing with. I also like that they have great clearance sales every once in a while as well. The only other negative is that they charge 35 dollars for transfers now. I wish they would wave the fee or discount that fee if you bought another firearm from them. I give them an B+. Better dealer than Prarie, and that lame shop by the Aurora Mall.

B+ shop, D- staff. I walked out of there last weekend because no one could stop bs'ing to hand me a box of ammo and take my money. It's been that way for years and I would not go in there but they do have something I want sometimes. I know more people who won't go in there than will anymore because of the d-bag staff.

Oh, stop being such an "angry dragon". What, you never BS with people? Don't know how to say "excuse me, can I get a couple boxes of those? I need to be on my way"?

If you get that pissed off at GMG's service, I suggest you stay away from Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson, you'd probably go on a shooting rampage there.

It doesn't matter how good of a selection you have if you have shitty customer service.

Aren't they running a business? His friend is going to be there when he's done talking to the customer. BUT If he doesn't talk to the customer, the customer WON'T be back.

I've haven't been to Green Mountain Guns yet FYI.

Man, isn't that the truth. Though I find it's far more likely with the bike sales guys than parts counter/accessory sales staff. I did buy my Ultra Classic there, though!

Even with spotty service, they have the best selection of new/used guns at the best prices in the metro area. Nothing I've experienced there is enough to make me go elsewhere and pay more.

I've been in to GMG a lot and have never once not been approached by someone. Are you standing in the corner by the front window or something?

If nothing else, I've found that if I walk up to an employee who's BS'ing with someone and stand there patiently, obviously waiting for some attention, that usually works.

You also have to consider how many people a gunshop gets every day that want to see this or fondle that, or ask this or argue that, or blah this or blah that, and then walk away without buying anything. I'm sure they get tired of tire-kickers, and if they don't know you personally, how can they tell if you're a buyer or a just another yahoo? If they hear you say "I need...", that means you're serious and worth the time.

Just about the same way in most any kind of place of business.
