The concept has some promise. My only concern would be being able to shoot any of the pistol/rifle calibers accurately enough to get any real use out of them.

Here's an article I saved for a DIY option for a packable 10/22: Link
Advantages over the new "Takedown" model:
    1. It will hold zero with optics
    2. Cheaper.

This is definitely an interesting idea. After seeing this I am thinking about picking up an inexpensive 10/22: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts...prod40781.aspx

Ya know, that basically accomplishes the same idea and takes all of 30 more seconds to assemble. Thanks for passing that on!

There also is a side folding 10/22 stock in the discounted bin at a local funshop...

I haven't seen a Charger for sale under $300 in quite some time. In fact, I haven't seen any Chargers for sale at all recently. They are definitely some great little varmint pistols.

****CAUTION***** Altering a rifle to an overall length less than 26 inches makes it a "short rifle" under Colorado C.R.S and makes you in possesion of a dangerous weapon under C.R.S 18-12-102 and is a Class 5 Felony

The rifle is 24" in that article, only when it is down.

I got one of these for my son, the "Trifecta Youth". .243, .22 and 20 gauge. It's a neat little set-up. One or two of the barrels would be real easy to carry. It has a nylon case that works well for tossing the whole set-up in the Jeep.
