The Chinese have no need to attempt to dominate us militarily, any more than we have a need to dominate, say, New Zealand militarily.

They already own us lock, stock, and barrel financially, so it costs them nothing to throw some minor resources at a goodwill humanitarian rehearsal.

This isn't a show of force. If push comes to shove, the Chinese can win a war against America without deploying a single carrier group or firing a single shot.

As long as we try to fight a war UN style, that is politically correct, and basically play flag football against an NFL that showed up in gear. Now if we tell the UN to pound dirt, as well as the media, and the liberals, and take the gloves off, I see us being able to put up a good fight against anyone. There was something similar to the UN, there was Geneva convention & League of Nations. Geneva even banned dropping bombs from the sky in later 1890s or early 1900s. But once shit hit the fan no one cared about rules.
