Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

I sure as hell wouldn't. If that's what the GOP would muster in '16, well looks like I get to change my voter registration to that illustrious "Independent."

Absolutely fucking not.
If the Republicans let him win the primaries, all hope is lost. Serious. The GOP better get its head out of its ass with the antiquated, McCarthy-era, Leave It to Beaver, God-fearing non-sense that the baby boomers were so keen on. A moderate, glad-handing wanker from NJ (quite possibly the least gun-friendly state in the nation behind CA) is NOT the paradigm shift they need.
Christie? -I'd be very surprised if Hillary isn't the D ticket, at which point it likely won't make any difference whatsoever who the R ticket is. I personally have had my fill of Clintons and Bush's, or any political dynasty, in office but I think Hillary would take it in a landslide if she runs. Sure, she has a heap of skeletons in the closet....but the media will elect her well before the ballots are even distributed.
None that have any hope in hell of winning the presidential election. Has a party other than the big 2 even won a senate race in the last hundred years? I think there might be one or two in the house but not sure.
Don't misunderstand my statements as support for the R party. I strongly disagree with the religious based social policies and see their economic policies as just subsidizing a different group of folks. When the choice is between bad and worse you choose bad. There could be good over there in the corner but they will stay there.
Can't say for sure "No", but I sure as heck hope I don't have to make such a terrible choice as the OP has suggested. I will most likely be voting for some lesser evil even if it is not Christie. FWIW, Christie sure looks a lot like a plant to just fracture those who still have the guts oppose the liberal agenda.
Merl- you make a good point, but meh, I'm still holding out for the Cruz/Paul or Paul/Cruz ticket. Despite all the character assassinations the MSM has done to them, Cruz has a very high approval rating among his constituents, Democrats included. Plus, some recent polling shows that nationally he's pretty favored over McCain and Graham in how he's done his job.

For me, Merl, there is no party that represents me. I'm not solid GOP, but that gets back to your lesser of two deal. I can't vote democratic, and wouldn't if there were a gun to my head.
But put up Krispy Kreme, and I'll just not waste my time filling out my ballot. I won't fly an airplane into the white house either, but it sure would make me think about it.
Bitch of it is, there are too many 'tards with lofty ideas about stupid shit, and it might not even matter who the Pubs put up anyways. I was so astonished when this collective group of fools, known as U.S. citizens, actually voted for that piece of shit a second time.....I wandered around in a daze for a week, not understanding that. Pissed off and just miserable.
If he's the republican nominee, yes, I'd vote for him. He won't be the nominee.
And by the way...
What republicans would that be that "let him win the primaries"? Are you talking about the voters or something like the "republican establishment" that so many people talk about?Originally Posted by ZERO THEORY
