Oh well, it's still better than the SO's True Blood. I just keep laughing and asking what the hell they're gonna come up with next. Vampires, werewolves, fairies, shape shifters, witches... More boobs though
Keeping them confined is better than having them run loose. Minimizes outside threats.

My other favorite part was when they told the guy he couldn't have a cigarette because he'd blow them up, while they are in a room with not one, but TWO open flame lanterns.

I think this episode should have been mixed in with the last 4. These episodes just seem to drag. last week showing him standing in front of the jail as a preview but then starting the story over with him just trying to move on? Come on. This episode should have mixed previous. See his character moving on and then bam, back at the jail.

Right. I wonder if they switched writers. I graduated with a film degree and took screen writing classes. I can write better than what seems to be on the screen.

it's called a story ARC. How does the governor get to the prison, These episodes are filling in the shooting the townsfolk / jumping in the truck to being where he was in the last episode.

Most places, that would hold true. But that building should have been a mother lode of medicine, medical equipment, etc. He was so lethargic about everything. He bothered to kill the one in the tub at the house (maybe for the benefit of the sisters) but didn't kill granny in the wheelchair even though he had to squeeze by her and just closed the door on the other.

There's a lot of different ways to deal with the situations and it's not like it's a real world scenario where you can try it differently to see the result. Just how I would deal with certain scenarios.

Ok, so what I really want to know is how did he and that woman get it on without waking the other two up?? That's the real mystery of this episode!

I am of the mind that he finished off the bathroom guy out of respect (disabled vet or public servant, from pic of him in wheelchair).
That whole town/locale had to be either VERY isolated, or very lucky, given the condition of the apartments, and the non-looted appearance of the food supply truck and nursing home (am I alone on that thought?).
To all of you complaining about decisions, scenarios and such...I'd say the writers are doing their jobs fairly well to keep you so engaged, and committing that much conscious thought. I guess you're paying attention, and not just being spoon-fed "zombietainment".
    just my take on it...

I write screen plays. I'm aware of arcs. I just don't think it works with this show.

If you merged the 2 stories, people might have gained a better feeling for governor because it seems like he is caring more. And then have hatred for carol, etc. then it merges. Jumping back and forth in time with a show that should be continuous will make people stop watching.

They did a big GAP with the first episode of this season. Gardner Rick?...not leading, Darrel leading excursions, new people, etc. I didn't like the season opener, but it is what it is.

At the beginning of the episode, Martinez and his buddy ditch the Gov...then he has a multi month beard and stumbling around til he finds this town with a little girl in the window...reminds him of Penny. That is why he went up in the apartment building. He gets a little softened up by the child and starts to help this family he ran into. Interesting twist to end up looking at Martinez again...how does this play out? The new kinder, gentler Gov isn't Brian, but the notorious Killing Mayor of psychoville.

They write and leave lots of room for interpretation...... they break the seasons in half and make us wait 3 months to pick it back up again, and I'm still waiting for the show to pick back up every time they do it. It's the number one series for a reason, I'm thinking.
