Probably, been a long time since I heard it. I have a hard time remembering the math nerd jokes.

I'm still struggling with that one myself... Interested in some side work as a tutor?

Got hired as a Unix System Administrator but in the last 2 years I rarely get to get onto the Unix systems as most of my time is spent administering Windows network systems.

I'm 35 and I've had a job since I was 15. Never been out of work untill these last 12 months. I've been laid off 3 times in the last year.

Since my wife still has her job with HP (thank God), I've been playing Mr. Mom......

I still use vi - sorta like it, but then I'm an old command line kinda guy. Back when I was active duty (USAF) I was officially a programmer, but rarely coded but I did manage a web development shop for a while. I came to realize that I hated programming and web dev. I played AF cop for a while and Security Manager and Facilities Manager. I enjoyed my times as a cop and Security Manager the most but went back to IT because that's where decent salary was.

I'm not surprised there are so many "computer types" on the board. I think it reflects just how much of the business world now depends on those pieces of metal and their software and their maintenance. In '94, the World Wide Web was just a spinoff of the latest protocol, succeeding gopher and all its cronies (veronica). Who would thunk it, to have this can't-work-without-the-web (and google) world 15 years later?

Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.
