I always heard that in Commierado by "law enforcement" . That a vehicle is an extension or your house and can only be searched if given consent by the owner, reasonable suspension, or a court order.

I doubt they would ever need that law here, the only thing left in Commirado that's illegal enough to hide would be an out of state marriage certificate or 30 round mags.
