    Default lowering recoil

hey all, i was curious if you knew the best way to go about lowering recoil. just looking for suggestions. i currently use a normal a2 flash hider, haven't tried a compensator. if you have any experience with compensators let me know the ones you recommend. i also have an lmt stock and would prefer to keep it. thanks!

Lowering the recoil on what? If you're talking about a standard 5.56 AR.. geezz how much more do you want it dropped? If you're looking to control muzzle rise that's something else.

Either way, look at the PWS FSC 556

And I think My Fal's and PSL are pussycats. All my .223 AR's and AK's are like "It went bang right?" I will say that the Entreprise Zero climb brake on one of the Fal's works very well.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

#1 way to reduce recoil is a muzzle brake
#2 a good buffer and proper choice of action spring will reduce "felt" recoil
#3 a buttpad will reduce "felt" recoil

If you're willing to mess with your ammo, go for softer loads

Get a .22 adapter kit and shoot CB caps - 0 recoil.

thats actually something else i was thinking, getting an h2 or h3 buffer and see if it makes any difference. its a pretty cheap "upgrade". i think i might try that out first and then check into a compensator.

for the record, people don't need to post smart ass remarks for every question. i never said the ar has too much recoil, is unmanageable or some form of that. i was simpyl asking ways to help decrease recoil. doesn't everyone want the lowest recoil possible and still the same performance? or am i mistaken?

    full length gas system

    Low mass BCG

    JP low mass buffer

F2, Thundercomp, or SJC muzzle break

    Adjustable gas block

These will all impact recoil in an AR. The muzzle break and adj gas block are the two most important IMO, but I haven't played with the low mass BCG and a low mass buffer very much. Hoser is the guy to talk to about this for the real deal.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

yeah i heard about the jp set up. im going to try to see some reviews on that, it seems intriguing. i hadn't heard about adjustable gas blocks, thats interesting, ill look into it more
SUPPOSEDLY the rra 9mm buffer has actually shown to reduce felt recoil and rise.
