Anyone in construction trades is used to the guy who drives around to different job sites with a truck full of tools for sale. Even though they were different guys, we called them all "Burglar Bill." No one asked where the tools came from, but I did see one guy beat the living crap out of one Burglar Bill when he tried to sell him a tool that had been stolen from him a few weeks prior.

There is a reason gang boxes hang 30' in the air over the weekend.

    Sorry about your loss.

Very sorry to hear that Sparky. I hate thieves. A construction site a customer of mine works at got ripped off a couple weeks ago. Thieves broke into the GC's trailer, stole a forklift key and used the forklift to break into all the conex containers onsite. They only had a small sedan according to a witness but we're able to make off with ten of thousands of $ in tools. Apparently they were planning on coming back because what they couldn't take they threw over the fence...there was still a big pile of tools there in the morning.

There is a bank next door so they hope there is some video of them.

Damn crooks steal anything not tied down. Another customer recently had hundreds of feet of pvc disappear over the weekend. What the hell are they going to do with pvc?

Sorry to hear that Sparky. Check the local pawn shops. If you recognize any of your tools or have them marked in any way. They might have record and video of the Fu*Ker's.

Trap is being set. Wulf202 loaned me a trail cam. Going to put some old tools in the truck and see if anybody goes after them.

I have been shopping used tools recently. Some of the local pawn shops like Broomfield Pawn have decent tools but I think their pricing is high, I've been finding decent deals on Ebay.

Dam that sucks, been there myself, fuckers got me twice while I was in LA. Probably cost me a grand before it was all said and done. Cops pretty much couldn't have cared less

I have a couple of these I've used with success, though I don't remember if they're 5mp or 8mp. Got one guy two b&e charges.

    Some thoughts:
video mode is cool but eats batteries. They make a solar kit for it but that is a red flag for a device, makes it much less portable and about twice as expensive.
set to High definition pics with low sensitivity mode. Humans are big, they trigger easily when they enter a frame.
burst fire is better. 3 pics, 10 seconds between bursts is usually where I run it.
If it snows, just turn it off, snow will trigger it. As will waving branches in the background
    It won't shoot thru glass.
The led's glow red, I've got a couple of pictures of people staring straight at the camera at night.
I use large black zip ties to hang it in trees or around light fixtures.
Have ambient light, it's night vision works but only in full moon or good ambient light conditions. Otherwise you have to get within 10'
When you review the pics, put them in a folder and set the folder to thumb nails and scroll until you see something worth looking at. clicking thru 2,000 photos gets old.
The colder it is, the quicker the batteries die (duh)
An 8gig chip is plenty for when it's on batteries. They die before you can fill it up.
