I have a lot of experience selling them as a dealer.

If it were me, and I were looking at a .308 caliber AR-style rifle, I'd choose the DPMS. They are far less expensive than the Armalite and, in my experience as a dealer, of better quality, too. The DPMS guns are known for accuracy. But getting mags come sometimes be a PITA.

But that's just my opinion based on my experiences. I'm sure others will have different experiences.

Just looked at DPMS's site... man their stuff is expensive. $409 for a stripped 308 lower?

seems like monopoly pricing to me.

Maybe. But they have always been 3-4 times the price of AR-15 lowers.

Another question... is there something that I'm not aware of as to have a AR10 versus a bolt .308? Is it just the ability to hold 20 rounds versus 5 or whatever? Just a curious question.

I would say having a very similar platform between the AR-15 and the AR-10 would simplify training and practise. Also, the AR-10 is pretty damned accurate (at least the DPMS I shot is).

A lot of it is cool factor too I think....

Ok, that's what I was thinking, similiar platforms and more ammo holding. I'll stick with my bolt long gun then. HEHE.

When you go and purchase your AAC 762, you won't have to get your rifle threaded, just make sure you have the correct flash suppressor to snap it on to.

Just keep in mind that's MSRP. Street prices are going to be somewhat less. And repeating what's been said, the .308 stuff is always more than .223 stuff.
