Anyone have any experience with the AR-10 platform?

    Any downside besides the price?

I have a lot of experience selling them as a dealer.

If it were me, and I were looking at a .308 caliber AR-style rifle, I'd choose the DPMS. They are far less expensive than the Armalite and, in my experience as a dealer, of better quality, too. The DPMS guns are known for accuracy. But getting mags come sometimes be a PITA.

But that's just my opinion based on my experiences. I'm sure others will have different experiences.

I'm sure there are more but that's all I can call.

    Really? There is a .40 and .45 and a 10mm AR upper??

The only AR upper chambered in a pistol round that I have heard of was 9mm.

I'm going to build an upper in .204 Ruger or .20 Tactical.

    .17 Remington is available too.

Just looked at DPMS's site... man their stuff is expensive. $409 for a stripped 308 lower?

seems like monopoly pricing to me.
