When I lived in town I had one right at eye level on the front door.
Didn't stop shit...
They said they were taking donations, taking a survey, getting signatures for a petition, free roof inspection, saving my soul, etc.
Most probably didn't even know what the word "soliciting" meant.
Now you are going to be twice as pissed...
1. You got people knocking on your door.
2. You got people ignoring your sign.

The guys I really wanted to give an ass beating to were the ones that knock, and then step off to the side so you can't see them through the peep hole. They do that so you will step out to see who it was, and then they are right there. I about killed one of those guys... Mostly cuz I saw him do it through another window, and was ready for him.

Guess my next one will be a huge "go away". Maybe disable the doorbell.

Make sure to disable the doorbell, not remove it. If it is gone they'll knock.

Of course even that isnt foolproof. Got one a while back that showed up about 30 minutes after I'd ordered some chinese.
