Emotions during this reloading session:and then

Broke the decapping pins on both my Lee Universal Decapping Die (purchased 2/21/2014) and Lee Pacesetter Full Length sizing/decapping dies (purchased 5/14/2013) with a single piece of Lake City M193 5.56 brass. Looking into the brass, there is nothing blocking the flash hole. Submitted warranty replacement with Lee already, hope they ship replacement pins to me soon.

There's some tough crimped primer pockets. For this RG mil crimp , i have to use my dillon decapper instead of the lee. The dillon punches them out, where as the lee just rises up in the die.

"I had recurrent ground school yesterday and today for my second job. For airline pilots, recurrent ground school is roughly the equivalent of a two day sustained trip to the dentist. "

    Jenny takes exception to that!!!

As to the decapping pins, are you sure the case was centered in the shellplate/holder? I've gotten crud in the way before which held out the case slightly off center.

Yup, they were centered, I always push them into the shellholder while raising the ram to ensure that.

These pins did just that too, they slid up in the collets but for some reason, they slid up AFTER they were already damaged. And I wasn't even having to apply an abnormal amount of force to the press, it was very normal.
