Sig has the AR line of rifles out at least 4 years. They work well and that's a decent price point. No restrictions other than 15 round tops mags.
Myself i'd buy a Sig before dropping money on the Colt name.

Yeah, that is the thing. i have a Colt from a few years ago and love the thing, its been great and I would like another but I keep hearing about quality issues and rushed production since the Panic of the last few years. I know Colts were great deals but now am wondering if they are just another rifle and now other companies have caught up and maybe passed them? When I saw this Sig it got me wondering if that may be the way to go. I mean if it is basically the same gun with a few extra innovations for a couple hundred less, why not?

Bad news, Most of them are just another rifle. It's the shit folks hang off them , what make it interesting.

Well that is not entirely true, When you start getting into the off brand stuff that is typically sub $1K and down to the $700 range, you can just feel a difference in those. Things just don't feel like they fit together properly, gas keys are not staked properly or if at all. I want something that will let me use it well and keep on ticking like a champ after I take care of it and continue on for many years.

    Surely you jest...Colt 6920 LWs are ~$1060

    A. Sig has had no shortage of reports of QC issues since Cohen took over
    B. Colt is the definition of mil spec; C158, shot-peened, HPT & MPI bolt, properly staked gas key, 1:7 twist, MPI barrel

Not at all. I wouldn't spend a dime on any Colt AR.

    FIFY

I'd take the Sig too. With the exception of a tight chamber and gas port on the 716 Patrol that required a return trip and was promptly and properly resolved, I've had ZERO issues with any of my Sig pistols. Quite a few of them too before that boating accident. I think Sig had some teething problems with the 516, but I've not heard of any issues with the M400.
    My Feedback
Credit TFOGGER : Liberals only want things to be "fair and just" if it benefits them.
Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."
