Has anyone taken the CCW classes at the Tanner gun show? If so what did you think?

Where do they hold the live fire portion?

It's a very basic minimal requirement class with no live fire. Good if you know your stuff, but not so good if you really need training. They just skim through the laws and give you a certificate.
actually they do hold a live fire...the live fire is in the evening, says its located at 38th and wadsworth. Live fire is mandatory to get certificate
He must mean mandatory to get a certificate through that particular class.
yes, I apologize, its mandatory for the class, not the actual permit...sorry for the confusion
I just applied in Adams County and the guy asked me if there was live fire in my class. I told him "no" (because he said he was familiar with that instructor anyway). He mentioned that he didn't think it was a big deal because I was telling him that I shot IDPA as well. I was/am nervous about if they will make a stink about that or not, but it doesn't seem like it so far. I'll be sure to post my full experience when the time comes.
I took a class at the tanner gun show last year. The guy that is running the class is name rob, an ex cop, he really a nice guy. THe class is only 4hr long, Three in the class and one at the range, the range we went to is silver bullet in wheatrige, getto ass range. They made you shoot a 22lr pistol and you had to hit the target, grouping dose not matter, they just want to know that you can shoot strate, they dont want to give a blind guy his ccw, you know what i mean. THe class is OK if you dont have alot of time like other people do, like them other classes that are a 30hr classes. THey just go over the basic on the ccw and some laws. They dont teach you how to holster draw or any run and gun stuff like other classes do. I think I pay $150 for the class, If you dont have time to take a real ccw class then this is the one for you, If you want to go over all the ccw stuff and teach you about the laws then i think you should take a real class not saying that the tanner one is not the real deal. One of my buddy took a real class and he told me that at the range they made him shoot and hit the bulleyes, and if you dont they will fail you.
My 2 cents
