Well, what better way to shut down firearm mfg businesses than by raiding them, and even temporarily confiscating half their assets? They don't have to arrest anyone, just do what they've done so far and see how long the businesses can hold on when they're unable to conduct business. Then they can return the assets later to whatever entity owns them at that point. Voila, one less firearms manufacturing company.

Sounds a lot like Customs trying to shut down most folding knife production.

So just, in essence, steal everything and then auction it off before they can do anything about it, without ever giving a reason. I think they've passed "Taxation without representation".

    From AR15.com

I received this email from Guy Savage this morning

    Mark, (that's me)

To end the speculation. I would be most grateful if you would post this on the AR15.com forum. We released this to the media yesterday in response to what was going on. I was in my office till 4 am working through this with the US facility and my lawyers.

    Thanks

Great- Just what you need, a couple of f&*kstick employees bootlegging guns out the back door.
But then again who knows-maybe they were bootlegging firearms to the cartels...................
Hope they rebound from it, Sabre's are great rifles.
Now the fact that employees were escorted out, searched along with their vehicles and cut loose makes some sense.
Feds probably knew exactly who they were looking for in the firm.

Now that I live in TN it seems to me that the ATF has stepped up presence here. Maybe something to do with TN HB 1796 (The firearm freedom bill). I hear an importer in Knoxville just got shut down too. TGI I think they are? Somethings brewing!

This doesn't sound like Sabre is the subject of the investigation unless they condoned the sales. This reads Sabre was victimized via theft by employees and the employees then further violated the law through the sales.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.
