Default Oh hell I made my jeep bleed, hopefully I didn't kill it.

I feel like I am performing surgery without a doctors license. I'm guessing a 3 hour water pump should take me 2 days. Jeep has been sitting idle for 11 months because the water pump was failing. I should have paid attention to my Uncle working on engines.

You know that thought in your head that says "I hope I didn't leave a rag in that hole before I put the new pump on", well that thought is screaming in my head right now. I know I didn't but the doubt is there.

As long as you didn't leave the iron on or the water running or the front door unlocked or left the garage door up, you should be OK.

Managed two out of four this week. Left the hose running all night after I cleaned out the swamp cooler, and neighbor came by to tell me my garage was open and he closed it.

New thermostat and lower hose while you were in there? Ditto on the belt.

The wp on my Cherokee gave 0 warning. Noticed a small pool of coolant and started overheating a 1/4 mile later.

^^ This. looking at that hose, you'd be doing it 1/2 assed (nothing personal) by not replacing the stat and hoses, AND flush the system afterward.

Thats why it will take two days getting the hoses this morning. That and getting proper hose clamps to replace those quick clamps.

There is always more..... I ended up having to buy a new battery as well, which also resulted in another trip out for new battery terminals.
