Or kids! 8 years ago when my oldest was 14 and the next kid was 13, I bought them both nice Boker knives for Christmas, just like mine except not spring loaded. I didn't nuy the 10 year old one for obvious reasons. I shouldn't have bought them at all.

It was their first present to open since I knew they'd love them. 13 year old uses present number 1 to open present number 2. Present number 2 had to wait while we went to the ER for stitches to the leg.

I used to believe that about women and tools. I tell you what though, I have a 3 1/2 year old little girl who can disassemble anything. She can usually get it put back together too. No kidding, the kid is some kind of toolbox savant.

She watched me replace a piece of fireglass on the door of the pellet stove one day. Well, she got into my set of nut drivers, trying each one for size, and proceded to remove three of the four hex head screws that hold the glass in. I was so proud, I couldn't even get mad at her.

That little girl can use my tools any time she wants when she grows up.

I learned how to handle a knife in Boy Scouts, I think it should be mandatory.

Back in high school I had a '68 Chevelle SS396. I jacked it up one saturday to pull the starter out, and used a couple of cinderblocks stood on end under the frame for jackstands. Rolled under the car on a creeper, the cinderblocks shattered, and the crossmember under the engine smashed into my right eye. Smashed the lens of my glasses and ground the glass into my face, I have a scar all around the outside edge of my right eye.

    Haven't been the same since.
