    Default S&W 586-1

Well, as much as I love sigs, I love revolvers more. The first revolver I handled outside of my dad's 6" model 28, was a 586 at gander mountain. I was 20, just found out I was deploying, and all I knew was that I wanted it. While deployed, my grail gun was constantly on my mind, but I never pulled the trigger. Instead I got a 4" model 28 to compliment the one my dad has as well.

I'm proud to say my search for the grail gun has ended. Introducing my 586-1. Click image for larger version.

She needs a set of wood grips, and a good wipe down, but the trigger has been worked over and is hands down the smoothest double action pull I've ever felt. Single action is like... Well..

I'll post the rest of the family tonight.

Man, I was in Blucore yesterday, and they had a pre-owned but unfired 586-8 w/6" barrel and target sights, just EXACTLY what I want! And here I am all broke and shit.....

Right??? I would definitely not mind a 6" at some point. They're so well balanced.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both.
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant,
'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'
Such is the rule of honor.

I'd like to announce that this lil' puppy resides at MY house now! Had to sell some silver, which I hated to do, but I couldn't stand to let it get away. No photos yet, I'll bring some.

Revolver range day? I'm in!! Just picked up a very sweet 4" 64-3, the original owner bought it at the old Gart Sports Castle in 1983, have the box, etc. It's in amazing shape, can't wait to try it out. Bought it to give my 686 (the L is fun with magnums) a break from the range rotation. I don't enjoy magnums in the K frames these days, but the .38 is mighty fine.

I was going to go to Tanner today to buy back a 67-1 I sold a few months ago but I came across this little beauty at a better price.

L to R, a 6" S&W 586-4, S&W 625-8, S&W Nickel 15-3, S&W Nickel 19-4 and a nasty old 7.5" Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag. Yeah, I had a S&W problem for awhile. Still rears its ugly head again every now and then. I think the Mod 19 is the prettiest but the 625 would likely be the last to go. That gun just feels right.
