Fort Robinson and the surrounding area up North. Great place to checkout.

Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt.

We went on a field trip there when I was a youth and the part that stood out to me the most was being on a school bus for what seemed like weeks to get there and back.

Fort Robinson is pretty for sure, we can all thank Columbus nebraska for Dorothy lynch salad dressing (the best there is) and grand island nebraska for hornady

    Nebraska has a pan handle?

Man, I need to brush up on my geography.

Meh, it should be Colorado's panhandle. Nobody on the East side of the state gives a shit about those on the Western side of the state and we all tend to align a lot more with the ideals of Coloradans... well.. until the last decade or so anyway when CO decided to get all violet/blue.

It's a more cornfed handle than the one Oklahoma has.

I do miss the sandhills, runzas (both the homemade ones and the restaurant), Dorothy Lynch, the type of pizza they made in my hometown, that they don't make anywhere else, the rodeos, etc. It's not a place I wanted to live in my 20s and most of my 30s, but it was an amazing place to grow up, and someplace I'd consider going back to. That being said, small town politics, gossip, and issues can be as brutal sometimes as any corporate or government politics. I have a bunch of friends who never left and they complain about it all the time. Like anything, the grass is always greener...

Vice-Grips were invented in Dewitt, NE

The area just south of Chadron looks exactly the same as here in Bailey.
