Free Concealed Carry Classes?

Something for nuthin', what's not to like? If you are into something for nuthin' it's right up your alley.

I charge for my classes. I spent my money and time to get the credentials to legally teach a class that fulfills the requirements for the Colorado concealed carry classes, and I take time out of my weekends to teach said classes, but you're right, I don't see any reason I should expect a return on my investment on money and time on my part. But, hey, that's just me.

Sorry, too honest? Let me guess, you agree with the liberal gun-hating legislature that an FFL should be limited as to what they can charge for their time and effort to do a background check, because they know so much about how much of my time and paperwork it takes to transfer your gun, that you didn't buy from me, should cost?

I took their class. I was skeptical at first so signed up for free. It was more then the "required" class that I hear you get at a gun show. They honestly believe no one should HAVE to pay a fee to carry a firearm so they offer the class for free but accept donations. After the class was over I was impressed and gave a fair donation. They offer many other classes as well and they offer them for free too.

How about you attend and give US a review? Shouldn't cost you anything but time. The price is right.

From someone who has attended the ccw class i can say it was a great class got all the state required info along with being generally enjoyable and after the class was over there is the option to go out to the range with the instructor but it isnt required. I wholeheartedly support these guys and the class. It is pretty bare minimum but they started offering all of their firearm and self defense classes for free so if the first ones not enough for you then you can get all the free training you want and they want to help people they drive around the state giving the free classes and will do personal instruction whenever you can make it to them.

I agree with what others have posted that have taken the class, well done from both my and my wife's perspective. We left a donation of what a typical class would have cost.

I don't see anything wrong with it. We all make choices and we all get what we pay for. Because someone chooses to offer their services for free or for donations doesn't mean it's not worthwhile to someone else.

Sorry to bring up a dead post, but I took this class today and it was excellent. I had to take the NRA basic pistol class to get my permit in Connecticut a few years back and it was just god-awful. I took this one today and it was far less nonsense for someone who had never touched a pistol and much more practical knowledge. I disagreed on some small points but overall it was excellent advice, and nothing that would lead a new shooter or carrier astray. I'm starting a new job in January and have made sure to already allot some of the money from the first check to a hefty donation. This organization is really putting their money where there mouth is regarding the right to self defense and anybody who is able should encourage them.
