I also used to swear there was a P-47 flying around every once in awhile, but I've found out that it's actually a Hawker Typhoon, owned by the same guy that owns the P-51. I'd love to see both of 'em in person! When that Typhoon flys over Parker, it always awes me how fast it's moving and how powerful it sounds. And he's just cruising, not pushing it at all.

there are those, there used to be a guy up at jeffco that had a 2 seat Spitfire. another guy has a Venom jet...super cool! one guy has a pair of Migs up there, a red and a white...still has Russian marked gauges in it.

Platte Valley has a really cool collection of WWI style airplanes. they also have the only real airplane that was in the movie "aviator" the rest were digital! (at least so i heard)
and I watched that airplane almost crash when it went off the runway at van air private airpark in brighton a few years back...oh and BTW that is where that mustang video was taken

The video is good stuff. I was just at Buckley for a tour on Friday. Nothing like your own airshow at the end of the departure runway. Six f16s departed for a 1.5 hour mission, they even showed off for us with a few unrestricted climbs to at least 10k. Vipers are badass aircraft. The Viper Demo at Rocky Mountain Metro last summer was one of the best I have seen.
that was my buddy up there in the F-16

the T-6s are pretty cool, I believe they take guys out on dogfights...but I think it is pretty expensive, I went over and looked at them before and they look really nice!

I was at Red Rocks last year on July 4th to see Blues Traveler and while the warm up comedian was on stage a flight of F-16s flew past behind him. Everyone was going crazy and the poor guy didn't have a clue what he had said

And it probably doesn't count as a low level fly by, but I shot this on July 4th a few years ago:

The t6 owner doesnt do any type of business with his, it is strictly a personal aircraft. I think what you are thinking of is the Beech Mentor (t-34) with skyradier that operated out of APA a few years back.

The first time I saw both of them was definitely inspiring. The hawker is actually a Sea Fury. It was a successor to the typhoon, same idea. They are both amazing aircraft. They fly a lot on the weekends, especially when it’s a nice day. They are both raced as well in Reno. I dont think he went last year, but the year before he was there.

oops you are right! They had 2 or 3 of them when i was down there.

I do remember the T-6 but never saw it up close.

I did get to check out a Steerman that was in the hangar at KBJC, that was a really cool airplane.

The open cockpit is definitely awesome. Brings that barnstormer era back. I cant say that i have been in one yet, but have walked around a few. There is also an Eaglerock built by Alexander Aircraft out of CO in the 1920s. That is here at APA. Very rare. Same owner has a beautiful stearman, all redone, engine cowl and all.

Are you in the industry as well? or just an aviation buff?

i have some awesome pics that i have taken over the years. I will work on getting some of them up.
