My photobucket links are not playing nice tonight but I got 117 down and 12 up on my phone off my router and 40 down 12 up of my primary desktop. Time to do a little house cleaning on the desktop and figure out what the issue is.

For those that haven't yet rebooted, try to run a speed test first and then reboot before running a 2nd one. Curious who all was able to get the speed increase without a reboot. Maybe some had rebooted recently enough to get whatever the newest firmware was needed to get these speeds once they flipped the proverbial switch. Dunno.

I've been at the 50 tier for forever. Might try a hard reset on the modem and see if that helps. The modem is a 3yo DOCSIS 3, and I decided to buy the $20 on from new egg, so maybe I'll see an increase after that switches. It'll certainly save me the $10 a month plus tax (been lazy and leasing the modem from comcast and gonna put an end to that).

My speedtest was on my wired network with all gig switches, though this particular machine uses a USB 2.0 gigabit adapter. I'll have to try rerunning it from another box with a PCIE network card before and after full modem reset.
