I've been at the 50 tier for forever. Might try a hard reset on the modem and see if that helps. The modem is a 3yo DOCSIS 3, and I decided to buy the $20 on from new egg, so maybe I'll see an increase after that switches. It'll certainly save me the $10 a month plus tax (been lazy and leasing the modem from comcast and gonna put an end to that).
My speedtest was on my wired network with all gig switches, though this particular machine uses a USB 2.0 gigabit adapter. I'll have to try rerunning it from another box with a PCIE network card before and after full modem reset.
