I was watching the FoxNews live coverage last night, and they were covering that particular intersection with the burning cars and the 4 corner stores being looted, while the police had retreated a block back and were apparently waiting for the word to move back in and/or reinforcements. Before the one bodega (I want to say that the owners were middle Eastern, but heavily urbanized (they spoke with foreign-accent ebonics I'm not trying to be unpolitically correct, just accurate)) was finally looted, the store owners were saying that "THEY" were going to move in to loot unless the police stopped them. The owners wouldn't specify who "THEY" were, probably because they were trying not to antagonize the loiterers right next to them.

Anyways, I was thinking back to Ferguson where several businesses were backed up by the owners & their friends with weapons (pistols, shotguns, EBR's) and I remarked that things went pretty well for those businesses because people stayed away and the owners didn't have to fire a shot. Then I look at what was going on in BMore, and I wonder what would have happened if those bodega owners had weapons of their own and tried to defend the businesses:

    A) Would the cops have been pressured to ensure protection or would the cops have demanded that the owners take their weapons and go home for creating "an unsafe environment"?
    B) Would the crowds have picked an easier target, or if they were already in such close proximity, would they heckle and distract/confuse the owners, forcing them to take a shot, at which point the owners are *done* from a legal standpoint
    1) In this situation, what if one of the thugs had a pistol of his own and wanted to stir shit, and took a shot at the owners? If the owners retaliated, again it's game over for them legally, and imagine the absolute shit-storm if they accidentally hit a bystander or a round penetrated an actual offending thug and still hit a bystander?

Going through those scenarios, I imagine that if I was a business owner, I'd feel like I could have no control over the situation and would probably decide to stay home and hope my insurance would cover things (lol yea right). Thinking that way pisses me off. The fact that after playing by all of the rules set by the authorities, the authorities hang you out to dry and let the criminals have their way, and if you decide to protect your life's work, the authorities will still defend the criminals and come down on you harder than a brick house.

The crazy thing, is that hillary will survive all of her "charitable foundation" shenanigans (it's already a forgotten news item, especially after the liberal clown-show in bmore came to her rescue) and she's going to be the next president because as obama cruised into office by the color of his skin, she's got a vagina and it'll be cool and hip to vote for the first female POTUS. Damn I hope I'm wrong.

We were sent home early today because there is credible information about protests in Denver starting at 5pm.
