Made it out to the range for the first time this year. Mostly wanted to shoot my new Glock 43.
The target situation is a bit bleak right now so bear with me. I used some well loved IPSC targets as backers.
Here were the first couple of mags through the 43. The first mag went left and a few went low and left. The second mag I took my time and focused more on what I was doing and those rounds went more in the center.
Here were the next two magazines. One shot strayed a bit low and left and for some unexplained reason I threw one shot high near the hole in the top of the target.
Put several more magazines through it with similar results. Thought maybe I was just having a rough day so put a couple of mags through my favorite Glock 19. Here was the first magazine.
And the same target after a somewhat hurried second mag.
Definitely not my best day but the 19 was much easier to shoot well than the 43.
Put my first rounds through the Just Right Carbine today as well. Off hand at 25 yards. I was a bit shaky for whatever reason. Slightly low and just to the right. Wasn't really sighting it in or shooting for groups. Mostly wanted to see if it functioned.
Anyhow, a bad day shooting is still better than a good day at work, right?
Also, it took me forever to get to and from CRC today. 96th Avenue is washed out a couple of miles west of the range and you can't get there the way I normally go. The washout is about 18 feet deep and probably thirty feet accross. Had to double back, detour south to 36 and come in from the east side.
