You don't pay a guy 72 mil after 7 starts in the NFL. Maybe we'll regret it, maybe not, you just can't tie up that kind of cap money for 4 years on an unproven entity. Brock was nursing some kind of an injury at the end of the season too. I think John knows something we don't.

Kaepernick with these receivers and a strong rb is interesting. Unless he's stupid. I can't always tell.

I'm not really digging any of the current options.
Kapernick. SF says they don't want to trade him. Translation: he's for trade but we want a lot for him. Plus, we would be getting his contract which has some pretty hefty numbers towards our cap over the next several seasons.
RG3. Umm. No thanks. Although we might get him cheap only because I doubt there's going to be much interest from other teams.
Ryan Fitzpatrick. I find him entertaining to watch. He's not scared to throw into coverage. I like a QB who is willing to take a risk to make a play. Just not sure I want him throwing all those interceptions as a Bronco.
Johnny Manziel. Please no. Just no. No matter what Vaughn Miller thinks.
I wonder what Tim Tebow is doing these days? I mean he would be a nice pick up. You know, if we could convince him to play tight end. Probably need one of those since Owen Daniels got cut and Vernon Davis didn't look like he was going to pan out here.
I heard Peyton is looking for something to do.

Always wondered why Tebow didn't want to be a TE. Don't really know what kind of hands he has, but I always thought he'd be perfect in that position.
I don't follow football, why no interest in RG3? My kid thinks he's a class act.
Losing Trevathan was a bigger blow than Brock. Despite losing the big three FAs they had none are going to be that hard to replace.
The guy seems pretty self centered and not really a team player. I remember after a loss he was being interviewed and pretty much said his teammates played poorly and that's why they lost. I've also heard his coaches don't think he puts much effort into studying or trying to learn the offense. Probably thinks he can get by off of physical talent alone. Plus, in my opinion, he makes poor decisions on the field and can't seem to stay healthy.
How about Connor Cook? Just graduated after leading his team to the best 4 years in Michigan State football history. Throws accurately and with a strong arm. Smart player. Not sure how well he would adjust to the NFL, but he wouldn't be expensive to start out...![]()
