Had it happen to me once I think it was feb. of 07. I was driving a road I drove everyday I had gotten a new pathfinder and was taking the old one out for the last time ( window did not role up in Feb.!) anywhoo I think I was used to the new one and got stopped in the old one doing 70ish in a 55. Cop gave me a warning I think he felt sorry for me LOL I had no windows and had to keep reving the engine to keep it running, I am really glad he pulled me over I think I was falling asleep I had driven none stop ( except gas ) about 1400 miles and blue lights give a better rush than any cup of joe I ever had. And that so far has been my only brush with the law.

I usually drive a Corolla, I have since '98, so I can judge pretty well how fast I'm going in my car. A year or so ago I drove my mother somewhere in her Pontiac Bonneville SSEi (she has "little old lady from Pasadena" syndrome, even though she doesn't drive much anymore), and even though I'm not a slowpoke in the Corolla I was shocked to see just how much I was exceeding the limit in that Pontiac. It wasn't the power of the engine that got me, it was the smoothness of the ride and maybe the size of the car a little bit too.

So yeah, I've been there but I didn't get caught that time. I've paid my fair share into the coffers, especially in the mid to late 80's, so getting away with one isn't unfair.

Was it an SUV? The higher you are from the road, the less you feel the speed. That's my experience anyway.

I don't get embarassed it's just a part of driving. I can't stand going the speed limit most of the time. I want to get from point A to point B and the faster the better. Life is short why spend it behind the wheel.

HAHA. I ALMOST got pulled over in a U vehicle about two years ago. I was picking up John Clayton in the Clayton/Hamilton jazz orch for the Greeley Jazz fest (was that two or three years ago... don't remember). Anyways, a cop followed us (read: tailgating me up the @$$ with a wide open road) for a good 4 or 5 miles before he broke off and sped past us. I was SOOO tempted to do a brake check.... I WAS packing and John said I would fit in up in NY cause I was a bad MF'r white guy with a gun. HAHA. Then he heard me play and sad I got some great chops... but I'm still working this stupid day job... grrrrrr

I drive a Pathfinder. The car I was driving at the time was a '10 Chevy sedan.
