And you guys still think they are not keeping records on guns. He was not even near the accident, so why were photos taken? I will bet everybody on that range had their pic taken and also a photo of the firearm and serial.

I had been in the store last week checking out a CZ 75B compact PCR. I had worked some OT this week and with the crappy weather I decided to take some pistols with me and also buy the CZ if they still had it. Got there about 1:00 and was done with paper work and on the range right before 2:00. I had taken a peak into the check in area when I first got there and they were not too busy but by the time it took me to get back they had filled up a bit.

A very young couple were filling out paper work and right when I was gearing up to go into the range he was like "I want to rent a AR". With this and the wanna be gangbangers that were all milling about inside I was glad they had two range officers and my assigned lane was the very last one on the right. About a half hour in and being very pleased with my latest purchase there was a bit of commotion. I was loading up some more mags I had been kind of keeping a eye on things anyway but did not really see anything going on. I had heard some non pistol rounds going off at a fairly high rate and know that this is frowned on. It did not last long and figured that one of the RSO had put the kibosh on it. Was it the AR guy ? not sure, they also had a rental PS90 out on the line at the time also.

A few minutes later I heard one of the RSO say to the other " she is just hit on the arm" and "she is at the counter getting cleaned up". It was just a few minutes later when the cease fire and safety all weapons order was given. In came a bunch of sheriff officers and Arvada PD. Everyone was told to leave their stations as is and to come out to lobby. Those of us who were actually inside the range were sectioned off from those who were not inside at the time. We were all asked to ID ourselves and give basic info. After about a hour and half wait the detectives showed up, we were escorted back in and told to stand just outside the booth we were occupying at the time. Since I was by myself and not near the lane she got hit me and my firearms were photographed and told I could clean up and leave.

My best guess. AR kid was shooting too fast for his skill level. Hit something solid and the gal got hit. Not sure, could have been PS90 dude also???

One other observation. The young couple, the group of "kids" and gal that was hit all looked Hispanic. They did not all group together while we were waiting so I do not think they knew each other. I do think that the investigators were looking at this angle though.
