I've shot a lot of Brown Bear but I've shot even more Barnaul in .223 and they are actually the same factory and I've never had a problem with either one so I wouldn't worry about it at all.

All my ARs and M16s eat a steady diet of barnaul and brown bear 62gr FMJ.
My 9mm handguns and subguns eat nothing but (formerly) ulyanovsk 124gr NATO, and now brown and silver bear 115gr FMJ.
My AK's get various russian/combloc diets - currently Ulyanovsk for 5.45x39 and Golden Tiger for 7.62x39.
About the only non-russian ammo I shoot is 45ACP, 22LR and 7.62x51.

I bought a 1000rnds of this stuff not too long ago. I've only had one round not fire out of the 500 i've shot so far. I paid about 220 + shipping from cheaper than dirt. It is a little bit on the dirty side but for half what wally world or dicks charges for Remington .223 FMJ's I can deal with the extra cleaning.
