and why wouldn't every NFL team owner do something like this? Disrespecting the National Anthem on national effing TV (because the cameras are looking for it) is bad for the players and the team. Takes their minds off the ball.

I keep harping on this subject but if you consider yourself a conservative and/or a Christian you should really stop supporting professional and college sports as they really are a big part of the Democrat/Media/Government Complex and are part of the cultural rot that is undermining our republic.

As Andrew Breitbart said; politics is downstream from culture.
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

This is the United States of America and the guy and like minded people are free to protest and say what they think. Just as you and I are. I have no problem at all with these guys and gals making whatever statement they feel a need to express in their own morality. In all honesty, it does gall me to see people disrespect this country, whether they are citizens or some abuser of goats thousands of miles from my home. I would not abrogate their rights just because I don't like what they say.

Now we know where these people stand on particular issues and they will always have supporters and detractors. There will always be opinions and I thank God that I live in a country that still allows free thought. I also know that we are at war with ourselves as to the extent of those freedoms and so I will continue to stand for freedom and stand against those that seek to prevent free thought and the expression of free thought through non-violent means.

They are only free to protest at the workplace if their employer allows it. It should not be allowed.

The Sunday Denver Post today had some kind of "Broncos magazine" in it with a damn near life size pic of his face on the cover. A multi-millionaire with an angry look on his face like a common street thug.

Fuck him. That cover's going in my shredder.

Interesting. They must have had different front cover pics as mine had Von Miller.

They are free to protest and say whatever they want but the employer doesn't have to let them play. They do NOT have a right to that multi-million dollar job. People seem to have forgotten these days that civil disobedience is supposed to have penalties. It seems like only pro-American, non-socialists have to endure penalties for speaking their minds.
