AKA Squids. But many I see are riding around with their helmet (some of them very expensive Arais or Shoeis) on the back peg and not on their melon... What's the purpose of even owning one if you don't put it on?

Maybe for you. I fit like a glove on a sport bike.

Sometimes I'll take my foot off the peg and shake out my leg on a long ride, and I will let my foot dangle from time to time. I keep it above the roadway though. And FWIW, I ride a cruiser and never ride without helmet, gloves, jacket, long pants, and boots. Far better to be sweaty than bloody, IMHO.

    THIS!
And I'm with Squeeze, my CBR600RR is actually not uncomfortable at all, especially on a ride through a fun canyon.

People who say their sport bikes are comfortable are only kidding themselves.

I refer to mine as "the rack" . Comfortable would never be a word to use but purposeful

Not quite the same topic, but here's an almost unbelievable from a buddy. He was chasing other friends and in a tight right handed, his boot touched, startling him, and he lost his line. He hit this guy pictured, flipped over the car, got up, and was back heckling on the driver before driver could get out of his car. I told him he used up all the luck he was ever to have.
