    Default TRADING POST ??

Would it not be better for a seller to keep the price & description, listed even when the item has been sold. This way one gets a feel for the average selling (asking) price. PLUS... It might clear up an issue IF the buyer was told one thing and item received was not in condition advertised .

Could get ugly when a buyer post I was Ripped Off by X. With the item no longer shown and description, who knows what's what.

    Mods what ya'll think?

I have always thought that. IIRC it was brought up a while ago and shot down.

I thought it used to be that way years ago for this very reason.

But I was outta the game for almost 5 years, so I might have missed something.

Not that I disagree. However, while I could be wrong, I believe the mods have access to every edit if need be.

Would be nice, particularly when trying to price items locally. I have a rifle I want to sell and Armslist is no help because prices seem to vary wildly depending on location.

While most, if not all, of the staff would agree with this desire, we're left wondering how to enforce such a thing and what penalty would be appropriate for a violation.

While the staff encourages folks to leave their sale/trade threads intact and prevent members from deleting the threads themselves, since I've been a moderator we've never had a hard and fast requirement/rule to leave the contents intact. Then again, this could always change.

That's not my experience with being a mod.
