Hey MarkCO, or any other competetive shooter:

Do you see the future of rifle optics moving into having 2 scopes on the rifle? Example RDS plus variable? Or is the current revolution of 1x to multiple x rifle scopes going to obsolete the 2 scope setup? Disregard being classed in open vs tacops

There already are a lot of dual optics guns.

I have a red dot and a high mag scope on an AR and on a bolt gun. 2 other ARs with an optic and a laser. One has two lasers and a red dot. Leupold has a dual sight optic, and hear tell that two other companies are working on theirs as well.

Having a red dot and a magnified optic is certainly the fastest in some scenarios, sometimes even for the same target.
    Good Shooting, MarkCO

Does anyone have experience with the PSA- PTAC uppers? They have one on sale for $179. If it's pretty good - I'd pick it up to put my Aimpoint Pro on.

Friends don't let friends buy PTAC. Google is your friend on this topic.

I found a mix of reviews when I did search. Hence why I came here.

But. But..It says right there that it's ready for Duty. I've paid more for a handguard than this upper. If this is all you can afford right now and it'll get you shooting, I say go for it.

You can get a better upper from them for $30-$40 more. Stay away from the PTAC stuff.

I'd up it to PSA's 'Premium' line when they're in stock. Good quality for the money. There's a good chance there will be some specials around Presidents Day.
