Are you trying to say that you've read the book and are familiar with the reference? If so, you probably could have just said that.
I've no comment on shooting fleeing robbers, as I don't have any info on the situation.

I always liked walking into the one at my last agency looking for a suspect and seeing everyone in there intoxicated....and oddly enough no one ever drove there from wherever they got drunk at.
