Lighten up guys, it's supposed to be a comedy series. Right up to the point that they go off the rails, and turn this into a strictly white-bashing "political" narrative, this has the potential for some clever humor aimed at both sides of the divide.

I have not seen the movie version, but from this trailer, it looks like it could be humorous (the movie version):
I believe that right up until you see the writer posting fuck white people on Twitter.

No one is required to watch, much less like anything on cable or television.

No such thing as humor that everyone finds funny and if you are never offended by anything, you are either a hermit or living in an echo chamber.

Who was that guy Howard Stern used to call that began all of his messages with "Wake up White People?" If you took the guy seriously, you were missing the point of the joke. At least that was the way I took it.

Before Mel Brooks made movies, Norman Mailer made All in the Family. Archie Bunker was supposed to be a caricature of white bigotry, but Mailer and everyone else at CBS was surprised to find out just how popular Archie's opinions were with most of America.

Treat people the way you want to be treated. So easy to say but so hard for many of us to actually follow.

Among so many other things, race relations in this country are broken. Why? Because far too many people in this country are wrapped around the differences we have based on the color of our skin. When folks stop looking at someone and identifying them by their skin color and start looking at them for their character we can start making up some of the ground lost over the last several years in how various races and even individuals of similar races get along with each other.

I know from personal experience having been at liberal colleges/universities since 2001 that what you said is denying racism and is racist, white privilege, etc. Equality isn't the goal for the Powers That Be in charge of the BLM-type movements, or the NAACP, etc. In their view, from everything I ever heard going to their speeches/seminars (course requirements, extra credit, etc.), Treating people the same regardless of the color of their skin is a NO-NO because whites can never make up for what they did to the blacks throughout history. According to them, blacks are separate and will never be the same as whites as human beings, because history. Along with that comes mandatory legislative differences to ensure "equality", though (yeah, record scratch). In my opinion, it's a perpetuation of victimhood because it's one HELL of a profit tool for those same groups.

And before anyone comes at me with the racist/prejudiced stick (Yeah I already know who it's going to be), I'm just relaying exactly what I heard those groups speak about for the past 15+ years.

eta: and I'm talking about what the leaders say, such as al sharpton, jesse jackson before his son went to jail for being a crook, elijah cummings, cory booker now, etc.

Blazing Saddles did more positive things for race relations than just about anything since.

Of course, wasn't overall racial tension at an all time low before Obama took office, and has gotten worse since?

I wholly agree with what you're saying as too many people are shackled by their need to maintain their victimhood and too many others will lose their incomes if we quit looking at ones race versus their character. Yet, I hold onto the hope that these famous words by the nations greatest civil rights activist will one day be true:
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Dr. King's dream is dead because frankly most blacks want it dead ... there's no profit for them in being judged by their own character when they can blame their failures on whitey.

The most desired human emotion is "righteous anger". "White privilege/White Supremacist" theory allows blacks to marinate in this "righteous anger" even if its built on a lie and they'll choose that dishonest good feeling over the hard truth every time (and pretty much any group would do the same thing so this isn't an indictment of blacks as being particularly venal ... the temptation to take the easy way of victimology is very strong for all people).
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".
