A World Without Guns <- Great Read!
I read the law and am wondering, am I violating the law if I drive to pick someone up from DIA and have an AR Pistol loaded with a 60 rnd mag on the backseat?
Unfortunately I do live and work in the City & County of Denver. I moved to this location because it was very close to work for me. If I don't move back to Texas, I'll be moving out of Denver County as soon as my lease is up.
Another question, Self Defense with an AR in Denver County... Is that even a thing?

I'm all for exercising your rights, but with the current state of affairs, they have teams of DPD roaming the outside areas. There are teams of two, one with an AR and one without doing patrols around the whole area. Why invite trouble just to prove you have the right?
I'd rather get in, grab my friend, and get out, and spend that time drinking some beers, rather than sitting answering questions.

Not trying/needing to prove anything. It's a four hour round trip, and I do not travel that far from home, or through Denver metro, without my truck gun.
Just wondering what side of the ordinance I was on since it is so poorly defined concerning those who do not live in Denver.
To clarify, the gun is in a backpack and not visible to passers-by.
Plain site doctorine applies. If you've done nothing to warrant a search and have nothing in plain sight, you've given no reason for a lawful search.
I've got too much on the line to take risks. I do my darnest to never knowing violate / splt hairs on the law except for speeding in non-residential/non-school zones.
