And with good reason. I wonder if the American tendency to lump mathematics together into a super category is one of the reasons we are failing so hard at it. Someone struggles with say... Algebra, and they are convinced they cannot do "math". That's like saying "I have a hard time understanding programming, so I'm obviously bad at IT".

but, but..... aren't casinos designed to distract and steer people from their normal routine toward the bells, whistles, clanging, and deposit their coins?
