We must skew to a younger crowd here on this board but for those not old enough to remember the 60's - the left has already tried the "violent revolution" thing (under circumstances that were much more favorable to them) and failed miserably.

Remember the SLA? The Weather Underground? They murdered a few people, robbed a few banks, got killed or arrested by the police and generally showed themselves to be the keystone cops of "revolutionaries." And this was with the benefit of former draftees in their ranks who at least knew how to operate a firearm correctly. Modern "revolutionaries" will presumably learn their military tactics from either YouTube videos or "Call of Duty" first person shooter games, which means that the "revolution" will last about as long as a typical coffee break.

AntiFa is about as much of a threat to the social order as the tiny assembly of losers in the KKK/Nazi Party that the SPLC is constantly hyperventilating about, IOW zero.

"Jordan finds inspiration in Rob Williams, the first US civil rights leader to encourage armed resistance to racial violence. He formed and trained the Black Guard, who came to the aid of black residents in North Carolina when law enforcement would not, making him one of many leaders to advocate the long-debated idea of fighting violence with violence."

Where did Rob Williams get his support from.....??????? Wait for it.......

Williams obtained a charter from the National Rifle Association and set up a rifle club to defend blacks in Jonesboro from Ku Klux Klan or other attackers.

    So...welcome back?

Jordan obviously does not know his history. I have referred young lefties to this very important part of American history and it pretty much gets them off of the NRA is evil thing they parrot.

This is what happens when the educational system becomes an indoctrination system spewing out the lies as truth. This would not have happened without the total cooperation of the US government and the dependence of the people on the government. I have to think that if these loons start shooting up colleges and fire on LE at protests that their movement will not last very long. The media will push for the escalation of violence so that they will be able to report and distort what is happening, they will be the cheerleaders on the sidelines pushing for it to happen.

There will be a protest on Nov. 4 in Colorado Springs so I hope that everyone will be safe.

But in the 1960s you wouldn't have seen the NFL standing behind idiots protesting the American flag. The morons behind the Occupy movement would have been jeered at by the blue collar Democrats, white and black and brown and whatever. Responsible Democrats in the 1960s and 1970s decried the Weather Underground and SDS and SLA as much as Republicans (of course, we had honest Democrats like Moynihan back then).

Unfortunately, today's Democrats read "1984" and "A Brave New World" too but the lesson they took from those books was that if they took over academia, the media, and the legal profession, they not only wouldn't actually have to work but they could redefine the language and societal norms to flip the Constitution back on itself.

A bit OT, but in college I saw a guy get brain damage and be reduced to "a 5 year old level" according to the news afterward.

My roommate at the time was a bouncer at a bar. I was BSing with him at the door when out of the blue some dude sucker punched another guy that was standing a few feet away. Guy falls straight back like he was a felled tree, all stiff. His head hit the pavement like a rock. Bam! Blood, spasms, ambulance, pandemonium.

Permanent brain damage, reduced to a 5 year old. And the puncher fucked for having a record and that shit on his conscious for the rest of his life.

All because the dude hit on the other guys girlfriend.

I was going to open a new thread for this article but since it talks about antifa and the left's last gasp (hopefully) I posted it here. Only time will tell how long the spasm lasts or if it manages to bring the Trump administration into the clutches of the communists/globalists (D) and (Rinos).

    The Left's Last Spasm - http://www.americanthinker.com/artic...#ixzz4w3inekah

This is exactly what we’re seeing. Antifa and its associates are not operating in isolation. Last June’s Virginia ballpark shooting and the Las Vegas massacre are also examples of the left’s lunge toward violence, a connection that would be obvious were it not for the legacy media’s eagerness to obscure the issue. James Hodgkinson’s actions in Alexandria speak for themselves. As for Stephen Paddock, whatever his actual motive – psychopathy inherited from his father or recruitment by Jihadis – it is evident that his malice was fueled by a consuming hatred of the United States and everything associated with it. Paddock was that not-uncommon figure, the wealthy man who loathes the society that gave him success. (George Soros is only one other example.)

But taken all together, the new wave of left-wing terrorists can’t threaten the U.S. in any meaningful sense. A handful of crackpots with guns and a gaggle of teens in ninja costumes makes for a pretty sorry People’s Army. It can do damage, but limited damage. And kind of long-term gain is out of the question. The tactic utilized in Charlottesville – setting up a “right-wing extremist” march and confronting it with a righteous leftist counterdemonstration -- cannot be repeated without the machinations behind it being exposed. Their only hope otherwise is a “wasp” strategy – a series of pinprick attacks causing panic and overreaction by the society at large. (This interestingly, is the same strategy adapted by the Jihadis following the failure of Osama bin Laden. There’s something richly resonant about the fact that the hard left is, in the end, finding itself in the same bed as a motley crew of medieval fanatics.)
