Some are down (run of the mill ARs) and some aren't (older Smiths and Colts). 5 or 6 weeks ago I sold a mint S&W 4505 on GunBroker for $1100. I've never seen ARs as cheap as they are now.

I hope the Trump administration moves to loosen up the import restrictions on firearms and ammunition imposed by the last administration. I would like to see some more 7N6 at 13 cents per round in spam cans.

It is a great time to by regular, not collectible guns. Though I suppose all our guns are collectible if have more than you need. I picked up one great deal, and have almost jumped on a couple others. The parts prices are great too. Some AR builders are getting out of the business because prices are so low. Perfect chance to buy close out parts. I think I have enough mags, but prices are good enough iId buy more if they weren't restricted. I'm telling everyone I know to build an AR if they ever even considered it. One can build a complete rifle for just a few bucks more than my first complete lower 20 years ago. ARs are what SKSs were in the 80's. Might as well stock up!

My particular weakness is old S&W revolvers (I don't really care too much for the modern ones.) I just love the fit and finish of the blued revolvers from the 1960's - 70's into the early 80's. I still have the Model 19 I bought when I was working security at the Johns Manville World HQ in 1983 - 85, it's a gorgeous gun.

If it were easier (and closer) to find places to shoot I'd probably shoot more. 5 years in Laramie really spoiled me - we had an awesome range on the edge of town, cost $50/year to join and it was literally 15 minutes from where I lived. Around here you either (a) pay through the nose or (b) drive for hours just to find a decent range.

I'm not wild about either prospect but it's the reality of the Front Range and for now, that's where I live.

I had an opportunity to go to the range earlier this week and commented to the person I went with that "I wish it were closer.....but if it was, it'd be crowded".

The combination of the glut of guns, Remington going into the tank, folks trying to get rid of the guns they are bored with and the required transfer at FFL have really hurt the used marked in Colorado. There are 4 or 5 guns sitting in the Classifieds on here right now that, given a different time, I would snatch up, but I personally have 5 I don't want that I have had a hard time getting sold off.

Outside of "collectables", I haven't seen prices this low on a lot of things in many years. Had HRC won the presidency, we would be experiencing quite the opposite right now.

Had HRC won (thank you) i'm sure a lot of us could have paid off their house and or purchased a new, or low mileage year old, vehicle. Hypothetically.
