It's not even emotion anymore, it's a difference of fundamental facts.
On one side: Trump is Hitler! He's a racist, sexist, dictator ruining the country. He's impeding an investigation into his own corruption. He's trying to start an nuclear war.
On the other side: Nunes memo, #FakeNews, Obama/Clinton/DNC funding a completely fictitious dossier with good financial reports, tax cuts, and even an improvement in foreign issues/relations. The tolerance of this investigation for 14+ months by people clearly out to get him (like Bailey said) contradicting all cries of a dictatorship.
These two realities can no longer coexist. Go to CNN.com and Foxnews.com right now if you don't believe me.
One can try and be a "moderate" and say the truth is somewhere in between but then he has to accept that Trump is a little bit of a Russian controlled dictator and there's a little bit of a Fascist Deep State out to get him. Sounds a bit like just the tip to me on either of those. No one should tolerate a dictator president or a Deep State overturning elections.
In my mind it's far worse than that and I've given this a fair amount of thought. You know that saying about people so stupid they don't know how stupid they are? Something like that. I see the Left starting a fire over this they can't put out. There's more here than just Clinton losing the election.
Conservatives assume NG/mil would go a certain way. They assume LE in all areas is like ours (good decent people we are blessed with here). They assume that there aren't any very interested external parties in American strife/separation. I wouldn't make any of those assumptions.
California has the GDP of an EU nation. They have strong ties to China and Mexico. They actually just passed a law criminalizing participation of immigration enforcement with Fed LE. Is there any doubt these people think they live in a different country?
