More evidence of just how far left the Democrat party has gone...not the fringe...the mainstream of the party:

Ocasio-Cortez, 28, who is from the Bronx, is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and ran a low-budget campaign where she was outspent by an 18-1 margin.

"We have had our country on autopilot and we’ve been accepting what’s been happening," she told Refinery29 earlier this month. "And what's happening in this country is indicative that we need new leadership. We need new leadership in the Democratic Party and we need new leadership in the country."

Among her issues is expanding the Medicare program to people of all ages and abolishing Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She recently went to Tornillo, Texas, to protest against policies that have separated parents from their children at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Ocasio-Cortez is an admitted socialist and former Bernie campaign manager. She beat the incumbent democrat that was seen as Pelosi's likely successor...a guy who's been in congress for 20 years and one of the most powerful democrats in the House.

This is the clear direction of the democrat party.

Now I know that everyone who votes democrat isn't a socialist. But what democrat voters don't seem to understand is even when they vote for a not-so-radical-leftist-democrat they're still supporting a party that has gone off the rails to the left. There is no "moderate" democrat party any longer. The democrat party is now so far left that it isn't recognizable as one of the two main political parties from just 10 years ago. This is Obama's legacy and it's going to haunt us for the remainder of our lives.

I saw that too, a democratic socialist is just another communist. Just like in 1917 Russia, the people who sided with Lenin had NO idea what was coming.

This was obvious to Democrat Senator Zell Miller who spoke out at the NRC in 2004. There used to be pro-gun conservative democrats, but they've been shoved out of the party in favor of an extreme platform that demands unity.
